Came across a situation at work when I had to switch between two clocks when the chip is running. Tried to use a select line with the two clocks like this :
This seemed to work ok for some time after which it seems to glitch the CLKIN output!
The first thing that comes to one's mind is to use a register. May be a d flip-flop but without affecting the frequency !!????
